Raffle Info Here!

Okay! I thought long and hard about it, and have decided to go ahead with the commission raffle idea to help fund my trip to India.

Winner gets a full-color digital illustration, featuring up to three characters, plus a full background.



As this is a one-time, personal commission from me, I will even relax my "no copyrighted characters" rule for this. If you choose copyrighted characters, I will not display the artwork on dA; it will be sent to you alone, for personal use only.

Tickets are $5 or three tickets for $12. For every ticket you buy, I will put your name on a separate piece of paper and draw one name randomly at the end. I may also draw a few extra names for random prizes like prints or sketches.

To buy tickets, send the amount to kat.laurange @ gmail.com (without the spaces) and include your dA username in the message box so I know who you are.

Here's the Details About Going to India

All right, guys!

In my previous journal I talked about this mission trip to India, and how I must go, but have no moneys.

I am begging you for your help.

"But, Cap'n!" you say. "How can I help? For I have no moneys either."

How well I understand, friends, and I have an answer for you. Here are some ways you can help.

Buy a copy of my book, The Voyage to Ruin. [link] All sales from now until January will go to fund my trip.

If you can't buy a copy right now, or have already bought one, please help me spread the word about it. Word of mouth is the only kind of marketing I can afford; if each one of you posts in your journal, or on your blog, or your myspace, or whatever, who knows how many hundreds of people we can tell?

I have also decided to offer sketchcard commissions! These are original, unique pieces of art that will be mailed to you, for you to hold and keep forever. For this limited time, I am opening them up to any character: so whether it's your favorite character from Pirates of the Caribbean or your RP character from WOW, I am willing to draw it!

These are $20 each for original hand-drawn cards. Please contact me via email if you are interested!

Finally, someone suggested holding a raffle for an original commission, which I am very willing to do! Would people be interested in paying a small amount (say, $5 or $10) for a chance to win a full-color commission, up to 3 characters, with background?
