So, I've come up with an eeeevil plan....

Well, possibly less evil than simply maniacal....

Anyway. There are a lot of people here on DA who seem to like pirates. There are even more people here on DA who are completely obsessed with pirates, who love pirates more than they love life, liberty or anything else. DA Pirates: this is for you.

What is it?



Do you have an original pirate character you've created, whom you love to draw, write stories about, or RP? Submit their name and description here (and a link to any visual references, if you have 'em), and I will include them in a Great Big Huge Giganimous All-Inclusive DA Pirate Illustration!





Original pirate characters only. Yes, I love Jack Sparrow too, but he ain't a DA Pirate, so he doesn't count. POTC original fan characters do, however, so bring 'em on.

It needs to be a character you've been involved with for some time: no fair making someone up just to be involved in the project. I mean, I don't care if you made him/her up last week, as long as it's honestly an OC you've created for some other purpose.

I hope to get lots of people involved in this, but I know my journal isn't exactly widely-read .... so if you know of others who might enjoy being a part of it, do let them know.

Like I said above, a name and character description is sufficient; if you have links to images, that is most helpful. Leave a comment on this journal, or send me a note. Either way.

For now, let's have a 1-character-per-person limit. If only five people are interested, I'll consider changing it, but I want this to demonstrate a variety of people's characters.

Cut-off date for entires is September 1. I'm giving myself loads of time, because I know how slowly I work. My plan is to have a big, shiny image of DA Pirates in time for Christmas. (See: I work slow!)

EDIT! Due to overwhelming interest, the last day for signing up is now August 1. Sorry to anyone who finds this after that date, but I can't accept any more pirates this year. It's been such a success, I'm thinking of doing another one next year, though. Thank you for your interest!
